Breastfeeding Cravings: 🥖🧀🧈🐽🥖 I’ve been wanting to whip brie for FOREVER. They say you can’t have brie while you’re pregnant, but most of it’s pasteurized so it’s really nbd. Room temp prosciutto on the other hand… that’s frowned upon lol So, was REALLY looking forward to a big mouthful of not-heated-up prosciutto. Then, I remembered that ham and butter baguette sandwiches were a thing, and I’m like WHIPPED BRIE BUTTER?! Yes. And thus, the whipped brie butter and prosciutto baguette sandwich was born. Full disclosure, this is definitely more of a buttery brie than a brie butter — you’d have to add much more butter for that lol but choose your own adventure! I used the 22oz wheel of brie from Costco (sans rind… 😏) and a stick of softened butter (also Costco, grass-fed 🙌🏻). Used 1/3 of the pack of prosciutto from Costco and the bake-at-home demi baguette from Publix. This post almost entirely sponsored by Costco 😂 (I wish). Anyways… this was CRAZY. My mom said it was genius. She doesn’t just dish compliments out. Also a really solid choice for beach/pool sandwich. 🙌🏻 10/10 . . . #breastfeeding #cravings #whippedbrie #briecheese #butter #prosciutto #baguette
Pregnancy Cravings: 🍱🍣🥢… Hubs did good 🙌🏻 … Also, PSA: you’re just as deserving of a push present, even if you didn’t push a baby out. You certainly had to push somethin else out. In all seriousness, there’s a lot of opinions about C sections, and I’m here to say, any way you decide to give birth, you are a fricken rock star. Doesn’t matter what your reason is. You made a human. People literally wouldn’t exist without you. Ppl who wanna say a C section is inferior or say you needed a “good reason” for doing one or whatever can, respectfully, shove it. As an aside, I’ve honestly never thought about having a push present. Not because I didn’t think I deserved one or not, just never crossed my mind. This, however, is quite possibly the most perfect push present (the alliteration tho ✨) ever, if you’re gonna have one imo. Excellent job, Shane. 🥰 . . . #pushpresent #newmom #csection #newbaby #pregnancycravings #sushiboat #foodbaby
Breastfeeding Cravings: 💦💦💦💦💦 Didn’t love the electrolyte powder things, so made my own and it tastes way better. If you buy @Costco Wholesale organic coconut water, @Natalie’s Juice OJ, and the Celtic salt + mineral drops off amazon, comes out to about $1.30/day. $1.50 if you add the collagen. About the same as the packet things. Choose your own adventure! Def not a good on-the-go option but let’s be fr I don’t go anywhere anymore. 😂 Soon as this kid is like 2-3 months old though, look out world! We’re takin him everywhere. 🌎 1 cup coconut water 1/2 cup OJ 1/4 tsp Celtic salt 10-15 drops trace minerals 1 tbsp collagen (optional) 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 #cravings #breastfeeding #hydration #electrolytes
A little over 3 weeks ago, I woke up and had unexpected bleeding. I was terrified. We drove to the hospital immediately. They recommend I stay in the hospital until he was born to monitor us both. His scheduled C section (which was already supposed to be 3 weeks early at 37 weeks) would now likely be a whole week earlier than that. I ended up having multiple contractions overnight (none of which I felt) and in the middle of the night on May 1, they called the doctor in to do a C section at 5am. This was obviously not what we had planned, but I’m so grateful for the hospital staff and doctors that took care of us. Maximus and momma are doing really well (especially since momma has now had like 4 BMs in the past 2 days THANK THE LAWD 😭). He’s just the most precious thing. I honestly don’t think it’s hit me that I’m a mom, and that I’m HIS mom. We came home from the hospital on May 4. Three years earlier on that day, a police officer was coming to the same door to tell my parents my brother, Adam, had passed away. It’s hard to not think that he had something to do with all the timing. I hope his soul is ingrained in our little boy. We miss and love him so much, and we’ll pour all the love for him into all the love we already have for our Max. Thank you so much for all your messages, it’s incredible to have such a loving and supportive community. Can’t wait to share more of this new journey with all of you! Hoping to get back in the saddle soon, but for now, soaking in all the little moments we can with our little Maxaroni ☺️💚
